Re: The Future of OpenMW Scripting

That is a far future topic. A translator would be a major undertaking. Not on the table, short-term. But if and when we get to it we will run the translation on the fly, i.e. both in OpenMW and OpenMW-CS.

Re: The Future of OpenMW Scripting

I don't think Zini would be able to dedicate the effort to spearhead such a project himself whilst also acting as the project lead. Actually, I had planned to see if I can take a week off for this (possibility of that would have been highly depending on the timing of 1.0). That would have been enou...

Re: The Future of OpenMW Scripting

It was pointed out to me that some implicit assumptions in this write up may not be obvious. I disagree with this position, but okay. * I have a very strong preference for just going for oldscript+ * I have an extremely strong preference against option A) My current assumption is still that we go wi...

The Future of OpenMW Scripting

Last week we had a thread of heated, completely pointless discussion, full of trolling and overall a complete waste of time and it even resulted in one important developer leaving the project. This was such fun! So let's do it again! Just kidding. Here is the promised discussion thread about the fut...

Re: Terrain Editing

For the selection mechanism itself: * Data-Structure to mark texture tiles as selected * Rendering for selection: Not sure what would work best; may require a bit of experimentation * Methods to change what tiles are selected; there is some documentation about this here in this thread and probably o...
