Re: Time passing while in some menus

Please lets not add anymore options pre-1.0 that should be done post-1.0. This will only create more work for everyone later on. But it is a good idea. I will add it to my post 1.0 design document (almost at 50 pages now, definitely more than half done). To be clear, this would not just be a simple ...

Re: 2018

I don't think we have the capacity to do that properly (mentors and all). Besides these kind of things need to be prepared properly and since GSoC 2018 is already in sign-up phase that is definitely not an option for us.

2018

New year, new thread. I would say I don't want to jinx it, if I were to believe in this kind of nonsense. But I don't and therefore I can say it openly: I think 2018 will be the year of the OpenMW 1.0 release. I am still on track with my work on the post 1.0 concept. I should be ready to release it ...

Re: are get moon phase functions fixed?

Try it out (in OpenMW) and if the problem exist, file a bug report?

Re: Resources and hints for understanding "duration"?

The time between the start of running the main loop for the previous frame and the start of running the main loop for the current frame. Quite simple, actually.

The main loop is a good place to start reading code (OMW::Engine::go, while loop marked with // Start the main rendering loop).

Re: Do we support libbullet 2.83?

I think there was an issue with 2.83. I don't remember what it was, but it was severe enough to force me to update (which is something I generally don't do unless it is absolutely necessary). 2.86 should do as lower bound.

OpenMW 0.44.0

Thread for next release, for once not horribly late. I am proud of myself. We are making really good progress and OpenMW 1.0 is getting into reach. We already have a bunch of bug fixes ready; almost good enough for another small release. Unfortunately little progress on OpenMW-CS since we started th...

Re: Gamepad Support Discussion Thread

while the character menus are open (inventory, stats, map and magic), only one of the four menus should be viewable at a time IMO, it will look horribly on modern large screens. Can we use a SkyUI-style grid interface? Anyway, Morrowind GUI was designed more than 15 years ago for a mouse input. Jud...

Re: Transparent Object Markers

Wow, lots of discussion that I missed. I'll try to go through the most important points. @Zini: How long have we had our own Object Markers? Is this the first set of models we've had to replace the ones packaged with Vanilla? I don't think there are markers in the vanilla resources. They may be just...

Re: Transparent Object Markers

That looks nice. Overall I think the transparent markers are a really clever solution to the marker covering object problem.
