Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

Seems the blocker is actually the lack of an MacOS build. If needed, I can provide with a .dmg for mac if #4424 makes its way to the 0.44 branch. I built the RC for windows from scratch with the LTO build flag in cmake. I can't reproduce NullCascade's #4445 but if anyone want to give it a try, it's...

Re: Mac Visual Issues

yeah, the word "gamma" has been mis-used for quite a while. I was referring to some kind of luminosity slider, even though as AnyOldName3 said, tone mapping would be more appropriate than a simple brightness adjustment In the meantime, I'm wondering why I'm having such a difference between the two s...

Re: Mac Visual Issues

bumping this. No gamma slider in the video settings on the mac os version. The only way to change the gamma is system wide through monitor calibration and the generation of an icc profile. Is there a way on mac os to set gamma specifically for an application? At the moment, the game is rendered real...

Or set up redirects from bugs.openmw.org pages to equivalent gitlab tracker pages somehow.
oh yeah definitely a 301 redirect so that all links to bugs in the forum or any discussion anywhere don't end up dead or outdated.

Re: Free-licensed game in OpenMW engine?

It's just that the legal processes, even in the most well oiled and mature systems, can't catch up fast enough with the progress of technologies in the last two/three decades. Drummyfish said it very well: the word "copy" took a whole different scope with computers and networks, and present laws sti...

Re: 21:9 3440x1440 doesn't display correctly

if using Nvidia, couldn't it be an issue with DSR factors?
I don't know it it supports 21:9 ratios when enabled, though i kinda remember it's possible to specify custom resolutions in the control panel.

Re: Survey: What genres of total conversions do you think would work well on OpenMW besides fantasy?

You do realise that TES and Fallout 3/4 share the same engine right? What I am getting at is that FO is not a true FPS either, but that is needed to what we are aiming at. Adding these things like kickback/recoil are just additional game mechanics. Works with magic too... A fireball with kickback ;...

Re: Morrowind May Modathon Month 2018

condescending and confusing perspective ? oh sorry it was not intended. I gathered those few numbers to give an idea of the following. Communities emerge, grow and inevitably decay over time. So to see an initiative like this, 16 years after launch, giving birth to more mods in a month than new PRs...

Re: Morrowind May Modathon Month 2018

a perspective on the activity of the mod scene compared to the audience of a few channels.

88 mods in a single month of competition is not bad considering the numbers.
Morrowind is such an old lady after all.
