Okay full reinstall of Morrowind and OpenMW as well as removing all other mods, when I activate Better Sounds I can't use doors. Included the log just in case it has more to say than the other one.

To OP: all "data" items should refer to folder with resource items (Meshes, Textures, etc.). If your folders contain Data Files instead, the game will not see your mods. And post your log fiile - openmw.log (better as attachment, not as spoiler). It should be in the same directory where y...

My bad, I should have thought of including the cfg. Also you say the doors didn't have opening sounds for the other person, in my case the doors simply don't work.
