I haven't implemented a way to view installed mods yet.

I've written omi, a utility to install mods that can automatically copy files and generate an openmw.cfg entry. What it's able to do: Install mods (currently to the path ~/.config/openmw/mods. Interesting, I've actually been considering making a (cross platform) mod manager of sorts capable of taking advantage of openmw's capabilities.
