Seriously though, I don't know. Do you have any mods active? I think I've seen this with some mods, the exclamation mark means a missing asset I think, which could be caused by loading the mods in wrong order or something.

I thought that OpenMW doesn't currently use them properly. Doesn't OpenMW generate bitmaps from those TT fonts. I remember it being a problem with GUI scaling because it generates the standard size as bitmaps and then scales the bitmaps, negating the point of TT being vectors.

I stand on the Free software side and am also a supporter of Free culture in general. I'm only playing libre games and recently I began to try to only read CreativeCommons and public domain books, movies, music etc. Open-source is maybe a better understandable name and it gets people hooked more eas...

I don't think that licencing the content of a game based on OpenMW engine is necessarily bad. But the current copyright laws in every country are really bad. Yeah, the state of copyright legislation is basically what I creates all these issues and worries of "IP stealing" because copyright is kind ...

If you've got the project compiled with debug symbols, valgrind can tell you where and why the program crashed.
