What an odd issue.
My only suggestion would be to look into this https://steamcommunity.com/app/297130/d ... 706606441/
It doesn't seem like an OpenMW exclusive problem.

Re: How to debug mod performance problem?
In my experience, OpenMW's performance is directly dependent on the number of polygons on the screen. Whether this is related to collision or graphics, I am unsure. But the more polygons on the screen, the worse the lag is.

Bug #2326 - Bound Items
I just started looking at the code last Friday. I've been looking at this bug because it seemed like it would be easy enough for someone new. I've hit a road block and instead of scratching my head for several more weeks and implementing something the wrong way, I thought I'd just ask. The issue in ...

Re: Savegame format change
Alternatively, or in addition, a case could be made to change the ESM reader so that it ignores unrecognized (sub)records instead of throwing an error, though this won't work for everything. Would this allow for more records in .esm files coming from OpenMW's editor? Specifically, I've been interes...

Re: Resting for 100 thousand hours nonstop
In "the industry" if you use cheats or console commands to produce a bug, but can't produce it through normal gameplay, it's considered "not a bug". Could this be reproduced through normal gameplay with the boost Int alchemy exploit? Or do those potions wear off in a reasonable ...

Re: Resting for 100 thousand hours nonstop
My personal opinion is not Option #1. Option #1 is probably more vanilla (I haven't checked), but it makes no logical sense to rest for over a year to restore your magicka. It also breaks lore/immersion because it encourages you to advance time 1,000s of years. Advancing time this quick just doesn't...

Re: Shadows
I'm a regular on Great House Fliggerty's forums. One time, I made a topic about "Modern Modding" and how I thought the quality of mods and expectations has declined over the years (in Skyrim/Oblivion). I cited a specific mod, thinking no way would the author (who was on the Nexus) ever see...

Re: News of great things to come
That makes sense. I did see a post from 2011 or so talking about how OpenMW is not Open Morrowind, but I wasn't sure if that still applied. Good to know. And if you think about it, the acronym "MW" was made up by the community as a shorthand term for Morrowind and isn't even related to Bet...

Re: News of great things to come
Hey, I'm new. I'll admit even a few years back I thought this project was going to lead nowhere. I am very happy to see that it is still being worked on, perhaps more now than ever. It's truly impressive what you've managed to accomplish. The release of the MP branch is bigger than it appears. I for...
