You can find Zini's (rather strict) standpoint here: GUI. I guess that the GUI's customisation is going to be a hot topic in future discussions.
Yet another MWSE v OpenMW controversy in the making, it seems.

[OpenMW CS] Give two records of different types the same name

In vanilla morrowind, no two records can have the same ID. (i.e. if you have an exterior named Balmora, you can't also have a sword with the internal ID "Balmora") So, it would be cool if OpenMW CS allows for two different kinds of records to have the same ID attached to them. A good solution would ...

Re: Mods

@knivessout download and install Morrowind Code Patch, that redates your bsa's among other (good) things. How it works is the model with the newest date wins, including the bsa's themselves. So, if steam installed it after the latest update of MOP, then the vanilla models and textures win.

Re: Openmwcs-merge

snip Ah, makes sense. As you suspect/alluded to, the way we do things naturally avoids dependability in many scenarios. Interiors and exteriors only depend on Tamriel_Data, but not on whatever we're merging it into. Section files are all dependent on TR_Mainland.esp (note: not esm, we use esp's int...

Re: Openmwcs-merge

Any file that comes with a mod/content that isn't an esm/esp/omwgame/omwaddon or an ini file: Meshes, textures, icons, music, sound, videos. If you happen to have OpenMW-CS you can see for yourself. Main menu -> assets and then everything below the second separator line. That looks to be the same d...

Re: Openmwcs-merge

Is the merging into the section file done all at once or in batches or piece by piece as the finished claims come in? With interiors it can be either, it moreso depends on who is doing it. Basically there is no set way to do it, they just get merged when someone merges them in. With Exteriors we ar...

Re: Openmwcs-merge

As Zini was against splitting the discussion across two forums, here is the one comment on the TR forums that didn't make it here: From Rot: Repeating another point from chat, as I saw it the main block for merging in TR comes not from the merging process itself but from the ESM instance index being...

Re: Openmwcs-merge

First, all of TR's internal files are right here to look at so you can better understand how they work: https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/releasefiles First, what about "Asset": Is that your name for a record? Race, Activator, Cell and so on? Pretty much, Tamriel Data has everything that one would dra...

Re: Terrain Editing

I have a question/suggestion on terrain editing: what happens when you try to edit terrain on the border of loaded cells? In vanilla CS when there's a cutoff (like on the edge of a TR Exterior claim) it acts all derpy and tries to connect the edited terrain with the wilderness cells, often being agg...
