Not to pull the discussion too far off course but the original plan from Zini was oldscript+. Without active newscript (Lua) development that seems to be the current trajectory and it shouldn't be discouraged. Newscript will just come when it comes...

Please be aware of the refund process for Bountysource. If a bounty is not claimed for an issue, you need to contact the Bountysource team to have the amount credited back to your account. As lysol stated potentially the Example Suite, check out the developer checklist. Otherwise, a OpenMW mod, e.g. the exclusive OpenMW mods.
