No, UL 3.53 doesn't fix the problems addressed in the patches, but the patch is compatible. I'll try to fix what I can for UL 3.54. Yeah, the letter opener is too shiny because it needs its reflection and normal maps stripped. I'm not sure what else needs it in UL 3.5, but there are a lot of meshes I need to strip in UL 4.0. I'm not sure what's going on with the chaise lounge, but the magenta definitely means it's either missing...

Thanks for taking on this project. I probably won't be further updating UL 3.5, but I'll be keeping track of all these OpenMW fixes to make UL 4.0 compatible.

Yeah, I mistakenly used MGSO 3.0's bed meshes instead of the originals when working on UL 3.0. The bump and reflection maps need to be stripped, which I've done for UL 4.0 (which is currently on hiatus due to an HDD crash unfortunately).
