Re: osgFX::Cartoon
I'd hold on this until someone has actually started such a project That's fair honestly, without a real reason to do it beyond hypothetical usage, it's just taking a coder's time away from more important aspects of OpenMW. Really though I was just asking for an estimation of how complicated impleme...

Re: osgFX::Cartoon
You don't mean like Team Fortress 2 and fortnite do you? That would be disastrous to the art style of this game. I'm not really a fan, but technically yes. I actually had games like Breath of the Wild in mind. a cel-shaded Morrowind sounds, uh, strange I wasn't really thinking about it working with...

osgFX::Cartoon
Hello, Looking ahead, some devs using OpenMW may want to go with a cel-shaded look for their games, as it's becoming more popular these days. I have practically no knowledge of C++, which is why I'm here to ask; how difficult would it be to implement OSG's Cartoon/Outline effects in OMW? Thanks in a...

Re: Automatic Z-Depth Algorithm
What do you mean by "automatically calculate z-depth for alpha transparency and filter accordingly"? Depending on the mesh's depth test setting, the Z depth value is calculated so it can be skipped if needed, and depending on the mesh's depth write setting, said value is written to the Z ...

Automatic Z-Depth Algorithm
How much performance cost would there be for the engine to automatically calculate z-depth for alpha transparency and filter accordingly?
This would make things like translucent glassware and gems possible.

Re: Layering Alpha Enabled Meshes
Is this a Z-Depth sorting issue? Or is this kind of thing even possible in OpenMW? Re: New modder
Well I'm stumped, sorry I couldn't be of any help.
Maybe post the nif and someone else will find whatever I've overlooked.

Re: New modder
I can't see any reason why it would look abnormal.
Have you seen what the original mesh looks like it in OpenMW? It may be that the texture is just lighter than you'd like.
