Re: Lua scripting in OpenMW

But after 0.48 (the first stable release with Lua) we will not be able to remove commands. I agree with psi29a, we need to allow for the possibility of deprecating and removing problematic commands (which would only be exercised on very rare occasions). Otherwise, we run the risk of major issues ap...

Re: Which settings should be in-game and in-Launcher?

First, some common ground stuff I think we can all agree on: Any settings that were in-game in original Morrowind should remain in-game. Any settings that we are unable to put in-game for technical reasons should be in the Launcher. So I don't think we need to discuss those points. Going into my own...

Which settings should be in-game and in-Launcher?

OpenMW has a lot of settings. Some of them are in-game only such as: Difficulty slider Subtitles on/off Control mapping Texture filtering View distance Some of them are in-Launcher only such as: Toggle sneak Distant terrain Change dialogue topic color HRTF Shadows Some of them are in both such as: R...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

I've removed the notice that macOS nightlies are down from the Downloads page. It looks like Linux nightlies are still down, so I've left that notice up.

Can you clarify what the PPAs are and how they differ from the nightlies linked to on the Downloads page? We can change the link if necessary.

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

PSA: macOS nightlies are disabled until I rewrite upload script to use SCP instead of FTP. Are Linux nightlies down for the same reason? The latest ones are from October 7th . Per discussion on Reddit , I've modified the Downloads page to indicate that macOS and Linux nightlies are unavailable at t...

Re: 360 degree screenshots?

AnyOldName3 wrote: 13 Nov 2018, 01:57 In settings.cfg, you can set the screenshot format. One of the options is 360° screenshots, so if you select that and press the screenshot hotkey, that's what gets saved.
What is the setting for 360° screenshots? The documentation only mentions JPG, PNG, and TGA.

Re: Improving the FAQ

Added to the FAQ. I also modified slightly "Can OpenMW run Morrowind mods?" (now "Can OpenMW run mods built for the original Morrowind engine?") to be less repetitive of the new question, and to use consistent terminology. Thanks for the contributions! I'm happy to make additiona...

Re: Improving the FAQ

The question is good, but right now it's longer than anything else on the FAQ page (aside from the "Legal and License Stuff"). How about this shorter version of what you wrote? Is OpenMW a Mod? No, OpenMW is an entirely new engine, which extends beyond the scope of a typical game modificat...
