Re: Principles and Vision

Generally speaking, I'm in favor of Feature Requests requiring discussion on the forums first. In fact, several of the feature requests I've created only happened after posting on the forums. I'm concerned that adding a footnote to the Wiki won't be enough and may wind up biting new people. If their...

Re: Using version numbers on the bugtracker

If we've made a decision about how version numbers should work, can we get that added to the wiki so that the information is easier to find once this thread has been buried in the forums?

Re: Using version numbers on the bugtracker

I'm a pretty new developer to this project and the version numbering schemes are definitely something I've found confusing. I even created a forum topic about a month ago asking about it, but only got one response (not sure if they were a developer or not). If this has been discussed before, then I ...

Re: Dialogue thread, error-checking

Basically you want the quest to make sense even if the player does it completely ass backwards. You anticipate they go from quest giver to objective, but what if they start at the objective? Excellent point! Also, what if they already killed the target, etc. The Morag Tong questline made sure to pr...

Re: MCP Shortcut improvements

Seems doable, although it will almost certainly be a settings.cfg setting (or part of an MCP-like menu should that get implemented). But it sounds like you would be okay with it.

Thanks for filing the feature request!

Re: Dialogue thread, error-checking

Edited the graveyard and Hay Sack dialogue to make more sense. I never expected that people might interpret things in ways I didn't intend. As any tabletop RPG GM knows, players will always find ways to go off the rails of your perfectly crafted story! Anticipate the best you can, but getting feedb...

Re: Dialogue thread, error-checking

About the God thing. My intention is to have a singular God as in my vision this is a place where people know and have only heard of one God. As to which God it is, I didn't have any plans on elaborating, leaving it open for the imagination of the players. Though God plays an integral part in the s...

Sounds neat! Submit a feature request and it can be picked up by anyone who wants to take a crack at it.

Agreed, if you have an improvent, and especially if you can prove that it provides tangible optimizations, then go ahead and make a PR.

Re: Dialogue thread, error-checking

I think the improvements for peasants are good, and I appreciate the explanation for the merchant. And glad that you're going with a mysterious open now. I think the curiosity will help :D Eevald's dialogue is changed. He now greets with: Ahh, a new face in the village. We're mostly visited only by ...
