We are still missing plenty of keyboard shortcuts (remember, OpenMW-CS is still very incomplete). Right now the only option is via the tool menu. Mermaid is super cool for small, less complex flowcharts (and really practical when maintained by several people too), but I think it is too simple for this task. I personally vote for using LaTeX.
