I believe the pathgrids work the same way (both Morrowind and Oblivion), at least within the cell. How they work over long distance via roads, I don't know yet. I am a little concerned for the people working on this extended support that they are trying to do too much at once by trying to add support for multiple Bethesda games at once. This one is just a test to see if a new capture software will look ok. OBS is difficult to use for me - I can hardly figure out how to record anything. On the other hand there is no watermark and it forces me to use higher resolution (because I can't figure out how to make it fit to the window size...
