Re: Manual & Icons
Sorry for disappearing for almost a year, I have just updated the pending PR. I see someone else has been adding, what is the status of that? Is there a discussion thread going on? I couldn't find any.

Re: Should NPC melee hits be reworked?
If it's defined that way in the ESM it should be "fixed" by a mod, not the engine.

Re: Manual & Icons
PR is up: https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/pull/891 I am now using Sphinx rather than a self-rolled makefile, that gives us more fancy output. Sphinx supports C and C++ as well, but it cannot grab the code documentation from the source files out of the box like Doxygen can (it can do that for Python...

Re: Manual & Icons
What about my makefile? I have a makefile that builds the various formats (for now HTML, LaTeX, manpage and PDF): https://gitlab.com/HiPhish/OpenMW-CS-manual/blob/master/makefile Since I am not writing a series of tutorials I think ./docs/manuals/ would be a better place. I'll try to get a PR up lat...

Re: Manual & Icons
You don't have to be part of the OpenMW "organization" to create a pull request or create an issue or talk about stuff on github. You just create a fork, checkout the code, commit your documentation, then create a pull request, and off you go! I had created some pull requests in the past,...

Re: Manual & Icons
... Sure, I just uploaded it to GitLab because I am not part of the OpenMW organisation and I wanted to upload it somewhere . I figured on GitLab it would have a lower chance of being stumbled on by a random derp who would ignore the unofficial part and run with it like it was the real thing. We ha...

Re: Manual & Icons
10 to 15 minutes was what I would have expected as well. EDIT: Repository is up https://gitlab.com/HiPhish/OpenMW-CS-manual Click Files in the side-bar to the left and then click manual.rst to see the manual rendered directly in the browser. I won't be updating the Dropbox link anymore. I wasn't awa...

Re: Manual & Icons
The distinction doesn't really matter here, I am not planning to write any tutorials for the manual beyond that. What Ogre does is way past what I have envisioned. As for book VS wiki, I don't really care either, Pandoc can convert reStructuredText to wiki markup. We can really export to anything, I...

Re: Manual & Icons
... OK, I have updated it with your suggestions. I have also changed the two/three tutorial chapters into one chapter called "tour" with two/three sections. That should make it clear that the tutorials are only an introduction. ... Navigation should be no problem, you can do document-inte...

Re: Manual & Icons
Just to clarify, I do not intend to make the tutorials a substitute for the manual. Maybe a better term would be "a tour through the CS" where you visit some of its major features and end up with a simple product before diving into the actual meat. The pgf/TikZ manual I linked above does t...
