Re: TES3CMD - Perl Scripting Help Needed
First ye must venture to the MMC Discord of ancient yore. There ye shalt find a wizened wizard known as "Greatness7", he is a master scripter of all things Morrowind be it TES3CMD Perl, MWSE-lua, using python to edit .NIFs, or even the accursed mwscript of certain death. To seek the wisdom...

Re: The Friendly Neighborhood Systems Analyst Asks: Please Take this Survey!
Yes, I have been working on something similar to Space Station 13 for use in TES3MP. The general idea is that each player on the server has a role to fill on the station like doctor, security guard, janitor, etc but some players have hidden roles like to murder people or summon an evil god. The gam...

Ah, I only checked by running openmw with only morrowind.esm enabled and seeing if the quests tab was still there. Time to make a patch :^)Capostrophic wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 18:22 You can't use it when expansions aren't enabled because Morrowind.esm doesn't name quests.

Re: Newbie here going into Morrowind for the first time, any suggestions/advice/ whatever else for me?
Controversial take: Don't play with any of the official mods or the expansions, since the teams for the expansions were different than the original team and the quality consistency is all over the place they're no different than mods, and to be honest they don't really fit in very well with the game...

Re: Post 1.0 Plans
Clarification: I don't have a strict standpoint in regards to GUI (at least not in this context). Please don't put words in my mouth. Admittedly I don't like the idea of a fully customizable GUI, because I think having a lot of GUI in an immersive 3D RPG is poor game design (we want to do things in...

Re: Removing the stat menu
I've had the same experience with trying to disable the map by never allowing "enablemapmenu" to be run, does anyone know if this happens in vanilla Morrowind? It would be nice if the state of these two functions (and similar ones) were saved instead of the loader just assuming that they a...

Re: Getting the Actor that the Player Hits
I've encountered this issue too and for the time being there isn't a particularly good way to deal with this. You either end up putting a script on every single NPC, looping through every single NPC, or the last option which is hacky but at least somewhat viable. When a humanoid is attacked it will ...

Public release of the movement and stamina mod (climbing)
I finished the climbing mod if anyone's interested, here's a video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsvbLndPNr0
And here's a link to it on the nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45694/
If you try it let me know if you find any bugs or have other feedback. Have fun!

Re: It's really important to have graphical parity with MGE.
Personally, I think it's kind of a waste of time to make a total replacer for the Morrowind assets before OpenMW implements a PBR shader. When this gets implemented however, making replacements for all of Morrowinds assets would be awesome. And a hell of a lot of work. It would be impossible to do ...
