Wiki content missing

Where's the original Wiki content? The entire Wiki seems to have been suddenly replaced. I had literally a year+ worth of extensive testing notes of mods with OpenMW, at https://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title=User:Darklocq and this URL no longer works. I'm going to flip out if it's simply been dele...

Re: Accusations of OpenMW having an in-built bitcoin miner?

I would listen to K0kt409P on this; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect (while named after an attempt to hide actual information, the effect predates that incident by many years, just without the snappy name, and has long adhered to attempts to use legal threats to try to muzzle dorks...

Re-use of Bethesda content

We're okay to "remix" Bethesda audio files (Dunmer voices, etc.) for use in mods for OpenMW, right? As I understand it, all the game content is free to use for modding as long as it's not for sale and not for some other company's games, but other people know more about the licensing nit-pi...

Re: Starting an OpenMW Code Patch project

If you want to get the CS to stop spitting out errors about scripts, you'd be better off starting with the less buggy scripts included in the Morrowind Patch Project than with the vanilla scripts. Badly missing the point. I should not have to install a massive code-patch mod, not thoroughly tested ...

Re: Starting an OpenMW Code Patch project

Can you provide an example (real or hypothetical) of what you're talking about? How many do you want? Start with these three, just off the top of my head: #2222: Mercantile, Disposition, and "Fatigue" (stamina) are supposed to have a positive effect on buying and selling, but this is brok...

Effects on NPCs of Sneak, Security, Acrobatics, Enchant, and Armorer

Do we know the effects of these stats on NPCs? What I know, surmise, and wonder so far: 1. Acrobatics set low will result in companions getting killed accidentally from stupid stuff like stepping off siltstrider platforms, or jumping down to fight an enemy (they seem to believe they can survive any ...

Re: OpenMW-CS and Companion Project 3.1 giving me fits - dialogue loop

TopicInfo's have an order associated with them, and this order is very important. Currently in your addon, you have your choice TopicInfo (response "Yes, %PCName?") at the very top of the list. This is not what you want. Instead, you want the choice TopicInfo to be at the very bottom of t...

Re: OpenMW-CS and Companion Project 3.1 giving me fits - dialogue loop

Regarding: I think it actually is officially supported. versus: These would suggest it is unsupported I can't imagine that renaming a .owmaddon to .esp would produce a file that the vanilla game engine could use, since the formats are different. It could be helpful if OpenMW itself could understand ...

Re: OpenMW-CS and Companion Project 3.1 giving me fits - dialogue loop

Have you tried doing it in Morrowind CS and seeing if the behavior is the same? I'm not on MS Windows, and am disinclined to pay MS for (or to pirate) a Windows license to run in a VM for one app. I understand the OpenMW project's "we will not emit Bethesda bytecode" thing. However, I'm h...

Re: Starting an OpenMW Code Patch project

... we suggested that he provide such fixes to a preexisting patch project since an esp/esm can already do all he wants. The perceived need is that existing patch projects: are written for the Bethesda engine, and presuppose its glitches (being present and behaving exactly as known to behave in the...
