Re: OpenMW and the Raspberry Pi

For people who are worried about OpenMW on their RPi, I'm surprised you haven't followed the latest developments... https://kodi.wiki/view/Kodi_v18_(Leia)_changelog#Gaming_.28Games_interface_and_Game_Clients.29 Hell... it even comes with a rom browser (which is an addon you need to enable but ships...

Re: OpenMW and the Raspberry Pi

But, is it possible to run OpenMW without a desktop environment (from the CLI)? Since that's how my retropie box is set up. And it saves some RAM as well. That's what interests me. I'd like to run it on a Pi 3 or 3+ running RetroPie which doesn't include Xorg. I think most emulators render to the f...

Re: OpenMW 0.42.0

The videos are great. I enjoy watching them every release. I think it's a great source of publicity too. They get views in the tens of thousands on YouTube!

Re: OpenMW Shoutout from LGR

I'm a huge fan of LGR. His vids on old hardware are interesting too. Sure they're a little short, but they're fun.

Could we work on a suggested modlist?

A few years back the Morrowind Overhaul was the go to complete modding solution. These days there's carefully curated lists like STEP. Personally, I've attempted to follow combinations of a few lists and specific mods I want with XE etc, but it gets unwieldy and difficult to manage. Meanwhile, OpenM...

Re: Installing mods is far too annoying

I think there's no reason the game couldn't support mods as a directory and as an archive since it'd just be decompressing the archive behind the scenes anyway. Then mod devs could develop it in a directory, testing and all. And then compress it for release.

Re: OpenMW 0.42.0

Re: Is OpenGL ES still supported?

It looks like there is an arch linux package of openscenegraph available for armv7h with OpenGL ES 2 support enabled. Ah cool! You must be refering to this? Any idea if OpenMW itself needs any compile time flags enabled, or should it just take full advantage of openscengraph, and let that package h...
