Re: Shadows

Don’t know the logistics for this, but if you’re trying to get a larger user base to try out shadows, it might be handy to have it compiled for a few OSs. I would love to try it out and give my thoughts but I’m not going to set up a dev environment just for that. Perhaps it’s not at that stage yet, ...

Re: Typo in the documentation sections of config file?

I'm not terribly happy either, however, people who are using this as reference are more likely to glance at the headings than paragraph text underneath, however prominent. I think the settings headings have to be the same. I will add your text for clarification for more careful readers, but I think ...

Re: Typo in the documentation sections of config file?

Finally got around to fixing this. Added a guide at the settings TOC since I realized we didn't have one and we can't assume people already know what they need to do. See merge request here:

Re: OpenMW’s take on community interaction

Thanks psi29a, completely agree! For what it's worth, I find this to be one of the more reasonable and drama free places online! Was there a specific incident that sparked the post? There have been a few heated discussions about features or design choices, usually about future scripting implementati...

Re: My normal map doesn't work in game.

Note, you can change the default way OpenMW looks for normal/spec mapping, but if you haven't then the above is probably your problem.

I'd check here for more info as well: https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/master ... asics.html

Re: Fix The Lady Lover and Steed Birthsigns

I hadn't really read most of this thread until today because I don't really care personally how this is implemented. I'm not saying how people feel about this is irrelevant, but which implementation anyone prefers, is. Since we've established the OpenMW implementation does in fact deviate from Vanil...

Re: Reset death counter

What are you trying to accomplish by adjusting the death counter? I'm wondering if there might be a better way to handle it in case other scripts/quests/mods rely on the integrity of that value not being changed. That seems like something that shouldn't be available for editing. Maybe there should b...

From Reddit: Recover Mod List via Saved Game

Saw this on reddit : Restoring from a system reformat and I thought I had redownloaded all the same mods but I must be missing some because I'm getting the "selected master files and plugins do not match the ones used by this save game" message, so I'm wondering if I can get a full list of what the ...

Re: The new MWSE-Lua interface

Yes, very helpful! This was more or less my impression, but it helps organize it in my mind better. And I did see that you’re planning an FAQ update, which I think is an excellent idea. We have discussed all these things in some capacity at some point, but it is very helpful to put them all in one s...
