Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

I realize I wasn't really clear enough in my last post (wrote it in a hurry), but yes, my point was that I tried to imitate Atahualpa's flowchart through Mermaid, and trying to do so made it look like crap. Don't worry, lysol, it gave me a laugh! But yes, I'm just not finding any way of making this...

Re: Improving the FAQ

Alright, I went ahead and went hog wild and made a bunch of changes to the FAQ draft . I added a few key questions from this list and wrote several answers myself (there were a few other questions there that I thought were less pressing, so I didn't include them). I also removed the FAQ video becau...

Re: Shadows

To care that much about online names is absurdly petty and *gasp* a bit childish! It must be shocking that people do things online outside of a strictly professional capacity.

But yes thanks for your work on all this!

Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

Yes, this looks very nice. We can still do version control, it just won’t be natively rendered. I say let’s keep this in our back pocket and if I get mad at mermaid we can focus on this.

Thanks Atahualpa!

Re: Improving the FAQ

So I haven't had a chance to really dig into the actual text yet, but I wanted to let everyone check this out for a few reasons. First a few notes: This is a throwaway repo, but thought it would help me put together the basics until we figure out what to do with everything. So don't worry about repo...

Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

Haha 10 brownie points to lysol for the moon and star at the top! But yes, for the most part I agree with the suggestions. Could have sworn I put a note to remember to write statics rather than land. Unfortunately I don’t think there is a way to vertically align the in-arrow text. The OSs are the wo...

Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

Let me see what I can do inside GitLab first. If I’m not done in a week, let’s move on to Inkscape. That sounds super handy Atahualpa, but this way anyone can update the file in case we’re not around/too busy to update ourselves. I know Latex is quite common, but only among the technical crowd.

Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

So I'll put this list somewhere more easily accessible (probably the wiki, like our outreach page) but here's what I came up with on the train today. Existing PR Stuff FAQs Official Docs FAQ videos Media page (and up-to-date links!) Web presence (and follow-through) MCP features list MGE-XE features...

Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

Great job, you covered even more stuff in your flowchart. Maybe there should be footnotes for some stuff, like the question about MCP features. There should be a link in the footnotes to the list with the implemented MCP features. Oh and the diamonds, yeah I hate them. I just used them because it's...

Re: Revamp OpenMW PR content

So didn't get to the list, but here's what I came up with for a quick draft and proof of concept of the chart using mermaid. This would allow us to keep it in our GitLab wiki and not have to deal with formatting to a certain degree. Hopefully this would allow us to link to other relevant information...
