Re: OpenMW leveled list fixer - v1.0 released!

Post 1.0, when we extend the ESP format, we'll probably add additional record types which let plugins add to levelled lists, but the record type for levelled lists in the base format is designed to replace the whole levelled list. If we decide to start interpreting it differently then things will st...

Re: Water shader tweaking

It's probably best to have this discussion after shadows get merged as I'm pretty sure it's not possible to have terrain reflections without object reflections in master-branch OpenMW.

Re: Water shader tweaking

Most of the infrastructure to disable static object water reflections exists in the shadows branch (and due to an oversight, they were permanently off until yesterday) but I'm not really sure they're a particular performance hog. If they are, though, it might be a better option to make water reflect...

Re: Functionality of expansions?

Bloodmoon and Tribunal should work with current versions of OpenMW. The goal for 1.0 is to support everything that the vanilla engine did, so it would be pretty crap if we didn't support the official DLC.

Re: Morrowind HD?

It's set mostly on Earth, isn't it? Just after a bunch of people have died. If ghosts are a thing, I'd expect Nagasaki to have a lot.

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.18

I thought we were using that island which we had height data for as the terrain base?

This thread has confused me.
Might be helpful to read from the beginning?
I did as it unfolded and it just gave me the impression that you're happy doing the work as long as it's not all at once, but there's no reason why you have to do it all at once.

Re: Morrowind HD?

Neir Automata 2, combined with One Punch Man and Bayonetta 3, I really doubt Platinum Games is going to be doing three titles at once since the quality/successes of their games is rather spotty (for every Bayonetta or Neir Automata, you have a Korra or TMNT). At best, NA2 would have to be done by a...

Re: Changelog

This thread has confused me. It seems that the main problem is that raevol is writing up the whole changelog right before the release, so has a lot of work to do all at once, but there isn't any technical reason why he can't just have a file on his own computer that's a draft version of the changelo...

Re: Shadows

compute tight scene bounds = false You'll almost certainly get much better results with this enabled. I'd potentially say it's often more effective than quadrupling your shadow map resolution in the situations where it helps, which isn't all situations. As for the uniform/log ratio, all the papers ...
