Re: Help- Can't find Factions ranks in OpenCS

In Components/esm/loadfact.hpp Notice how the line RankData mRankData is lacking the "int" that the other lines have That's because mRankData has the type RankData* (the asterisk is because it's a pointer, so it points to an array of 10 RankDatas), whereas other fields, such as mSkills have the typ...

Re: Unsupported Unicode characters

What kind of not supported? Is MyGUI just printing them as a square or two (in which case, the issue also affects emoji and, at least on my machine, fairly basic characters like é)? Does OpenMW crash if they're used? Not supported can mean many things.

Re: Unrecognized Characters/Underscore issue

It looks like Ace will have time to take a look at it on Thursday.

Re: Unrecognized Characters/Underscore issue

It looks like the nightlies stopped working 27(ish) days ago, so I've let Ace know. Hopefully, he can fix them pretty quickly.

Re: Unrecognized Characters/Underscore issue

That's basically my fault - when I solved the issue stopping the hash character (#) working, I cocked it up a bit and broke the at symbol (@). This remained broken and unnoticed from 0.40 to 0.42, but a couple of weeks ago someone noticed and fixed it, so you'll find that mod works fine if you use a...

Re: OpenMW 0.43.0

At one point you said "a quite difficult task" which, while technically grammatically valid, isn't how a native speaker would usually get that point across. Instead, try "quite a difficult task". Also, not a criticism of the video, but the end bit with the snowy area left me feeling quite unsettled....

Re: Shadows

I just had a go with my branch on an Ubuntu laptop that only has integrated graphics, and shadows seemed to work exactly as well there as they do under Windows (although a lot slower). Interestingly, though that seemed to pull a build of OSG reporting its version as 3.4.1 from the PPA, whereas my VM...

See if VirusTotal will let you upload it to them. They're pretty much the best option for normal people to check just the odd file.

Re: Transparent Object Markers

That is only one of the camera modes that the editor supports. It will be less effective with linear movement.
If the camera is perspective, not orthographic, then I'm pretty sure comparison as it moves or pans or whatever will still lead to it looking fine.

Re: Transparent Object Markers

I just realised that I never actually use the markers in Blender for anything other than keeping track of which way each axis is pointing, and have pretty much exclusively used keyboard shortcuts since my first half hour of Blender usage. In terms of keeping track of which way is which way, I guess ...
