Re: [WIP] Android port testing

Hey could You Pack These mods and Your config together into a ZIP and Upload it somewhere? Would be nice to have them nur i'm lazy =P
Depending on the licences the mod authors have chosen, doing that might be illegal.

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

I'd just assumed that you could put a VAO/VBO in a display list in case you ever wanted to repeat rendering of more than one object. It also would save on repeated calls to set up other state, like which shaders to use or how lighting is set up.

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

It depends. If it's something that is hard to notice and it's not in a release build, it's less likely to feel like you're complaining and telling someone off than if it's an obvious error that's snuck into a release. Regarding that APITrace, what's the specific problem? It's a while since I've used...

Re: Free-licensed game in OpenMW engine?

Making a game is a lot of work, especially if you can't just buy a load of existing assets as their licence is incompatible and you have to write a story. It would be nice if the example suite became a AAA-sized game, but we're limiting our expectations by what is feasible.

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

Would it be reasonable then to let effects have an optional parameter which is a function to convert rays from one version of screen space to another?

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

One point that I'd like to make regarding the proposed post-processing system is that it would be good if effects could request that the engine renders the scene with multiple view directions such that it can have a cubemap or whatever and then do a reprojection like a 360° view (as seen in https://...

Re: I made a thing! (Mod Organizer to OpenMW export)

I've tweaked this so it can now be localised to other languages. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues with Mod Organizer preventing the localisations from actually loading, but that should be sorted out tomorrow. I mostly did this because part of MO that's written in Python can't be translate...

Re: Feature request. Add Panini fov projection.

Lots of games implement post-process effects that require the renderer to output things that it normally wouldn't bother with. For example, in games with motion blur as an effect, (excluding when it's based only on the change of the view matrix as that always looks bad) vertices have a velocity vect...

Re: Feature request. Add Panini fov projection.

If we're going to have a non-sucky post-process system, it will at least need a way for post-process effects to request access to the previous frame, so it wouldn't be unthinkable to request multiple views of the scene, too.

Re: Beginners' questions: Understanding OpenMW/OpenCS code

We need to at least continue supporting our fork of 3.4, even if we end up dropping support for upstream 3.4.
