Re: OpenMW Nightly builds

They'd been broken for at least a fortnight before it was noticed last time. A lack of complaints doesn't mean all that much.

Re: Per-slot armor rating

This was something I wanted to have eventually in my somewhat far-fetched vision for a future VR version of OpenMW where it mattered where you hit someone. In my envisaged version it would also require knowing which parts of a mesh are actually armour and which are exposed skin so you could get a sn...

Re: Distant lands and frozen cliffracers

Is there a possible source of problems if the player spins around really quickly? Re: Rain reflections

This seems to be something PBR excels at, by utilizing Snell's law and embedding Fresnel equations with appropriate variables. That allows modifying the reflectance of any surface at run-time, for example as a result of becoming wet, while maintaining realistic light behavior. Technically PBR is ju...

Re: Rain reflections

For a start, spectral mapping might help when rendering ghosts and spirits, but not with puddles. I think the word you're after is specular. We might eventually be able to support such a feature, either by using environment mapping (which will look okay, but not perfect, and isn't the hardest thing ...

Re: Time passing while in some menus

Someone will have to create a PR and then convince Zini/Scrawl that it's something worth having pre-1.0, but they're the only hurdles.

Reavol, did you definitely see the edit? I looks like it was made within the same minute as your post, but it should solve the issue.

Re: 2018

Well in mid 2015, I thought we'd be done by late 2015, so hopefully I've soaked up at least a few rounds of Hofstadter's law.
