Re: OpenMW 0.43.0

At one point you said "a quite difficult task" which, while technically grammatically valid, isn't how a native speaker would usually get that point across. Instead, try "quite a difficult task". Also, not a criticism of the video, but the end bit with the snowy area left me feeling quite unsettled....

Re: Shadows

I just had a go with my branch on an Ubuntu laptop that only has integrated graphics, and shadows seemed to work exactly as well there as they do under Windows (although a lot slower). Interestingly, though that seemed to pull a build of OSG reporting its version as 3.4.1 from the PPA, whereas my VM...

Re: I fixed Vurt's groundcover for OpenMW

See if VirusTotal will let you upload it to them. They're pretty much the best option for normal people to check just the odd file.

Re: Transparent Object Markers

That is only one of the camera modes that the editor supports. It will be less effective with linear movement.
If the camera is perspective, not orthographic, then I'm pretty sure comparison as it moves or pans or whatever will still lead to it looking fine.

Re: Transparent Object Markers

I just realised that I never actually use the markers in Blender for anything other than keeping track of which way each axis is pointing, and have pretty much exclusively used keyboard shortcuts since my first half hour of Blender usage. In terms of keeping track of which way is which way, I guess ...

Re: Launcher: Entry Point Not Found

It doesn't look like that issue to me as the thing I pointed out is handled by CMake, not by the CI script (although I agree that it is a nuisance, and if I could be bothered, I'd tweak it so it also sets things up for the other configurations at the same time and also set it up so it actually puts ...

Re: Launcher: Entry Point Not Found

Your edit mentions moving the resources folder but you shouldn't have to move the resources folder. If that's not done automatically, something's gone horribly wrong with CMake. If that's the case, then you might well have issues earlier in the build that need correcting.

Re: Shadows

How are you doing that build? Is it being set up by Ace's CI script? If not, then the issue is because of something you've done. Either way, I'd be very surprised if you don't have the same issue with the master branch (as I've not touched the launcher), and in that case, you're better off asking fo...

Re: Transparent Object Markers

No, but I'm going to try. If you have a single marker with a fixed size in screen-space drawn on top of everything, but also serving as the centre of rotation for the camera, you can see all parts of the tool at all times, always have it appropriately sized for the current view, and don't get confus...

Re: Shadows

You need shaders on in settings.cfg and it should work. The not-quite-cyan (I think it's best described as teal, but that's not important) box is supposed to display a representation of the shadow maps so I can see what is and isn't working, both in my own testing and when looking at other people's ...
