Re: Vision talk

My advice is test me out - suggest me to make a multi-part 3d asset and set a due date [ not yesterday ;) ] Alright. Let's start with something really simple. I'm not sure what your skills are, so how would you feel about making a ruined house (landmark) for the Deadwood area? You can use this as a...

Re: Vision talk

So what are your thoughts currently? You seem interested in designing Deadwood. Can you make the models in addition to texture? Should I write another in-depth thread about the level design in Darkwood so we can share our opinions on it and what we'd wish to appropriate into the Example Suite? After...

Re: Vision talk

To be honest, I envision a postapocalyptic time in uncertain future, where the order of the world has stagnated in such a way that people are still living in medieval-like conditions. In this sense, the world appears medieval on the surface, but truly is not. The way in which all the trees are dead ...

Re: Vision talk

If you look at Army of Darkness (Hollywoodish medieval), then that's basically the time period I think we're going with.

Vision talk

I had a private message conversation that I really think should be public, so I'm redirecting it here. There was the question of what kind of vision I have for the Example Suite and how we might match the high expectations people have in light of having Morrowind as a comparison. I do not think that...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.18

I have vacation starting tomorrow, which means I'll have 9 consecutive free days coming up that I want to dedicate on getting some progress on this project. Not sure if this is version 0.18 guaranteed, but I do hope to get a fair bit of things done.

Re: OpenMW-launcher just got an advanced settings menu

Could you please change the image to this one , especially since it's on the news page? The one that you are currently showing isn't the final version (the message above the settings is different). Sure and done. If you haven't already, you should ask lgromanowski to give you access to the team mem...

OpenMW-launcher just got an advanced settings menu

After the new year, development has been quiet and there hasn't been much of interest going on in OpenMW... or so I thought until I checked out the latest feature on the bugtracker. We now have a settings menu in our launcher that allows easy access to various optional features that were previously ...

Re: Thoughts on game mechanics in Morrowind

I would keep the weight system on the engine side as-is. In the context of Morrowind, it has issues, but if you're handling it from a fresh game, you can make good use of it I think. For example, I can make way overpowered items if I just add a lot of weight to them. Not only does the player have to...
