Re: OpenMW 0.42.0

Call me new fashioned, but I find changelogs to be really boring reading. I much prefer the videos, even if it does delay release a bit. I'm pretty sure the last video got somewhere around 32K views, so I think it's safe to say the videos are the main way people keep up with what goes on.

Re: Benchmarks

Well, maybe it's an AMD thing after all. Wouldn't be the first time. I have an AMD card too, but unless I have the water shader on I don't ever recall dropping below 40fps. Using the open source drivers? On Windows you need to use AMD's drivers, and AMD's OpenGL support has always been relatively p...

Re: Release process changes

That doesn't sound so bad. As long as there's a disclaimer somewhere saying, "users may have to wait up to a few days for the release maintainers to finish preparing the packages" I can't see why anybody would be majorly turned off by it.

Re: Release process changes

About Option 1, (I'm going to sound like an idiot, but...) who are the release maintainers exactly? And how much more confusing would it make the process for the average user?

Re: Release process changes

If you do go with option 2, would the hidden section ever be displayed? Like, after a release would the dev forum for that release be displayed? I know this sounds silly, but I really like reading all the technical information and seeing all the internal communications that go on. You guys have work...

Re: OpenMW Demo suggestion.

Could we do something like The Count of Monte Cristo? It's in the public domain and would offer the chance to make interior cells, exterior cells, land, water, quests, and dialogue.

(I have a feeling the answer is "Absolutely. We await your pull request." :P )

Re: Get data files from GOG setup without wine

1. Good to know I don't have to install Morrowind in Wine anymore (I don't have anything against Wine, but one less step is always nice :))

2. Morrowind is on sale on GOG right now for 12$ dollars. (10$ if you buy the complete series)

Re: Installing OpenMW on a Raspberry Pi 2

I wanted to order the Pi 3 but it was out of stock everywhere. I did install OpenMW on my Pi 2 though. I used mechanizeddeath method for the texture issue. Scrawl mentioned a BSAtool that comes with OpenMW. I tried to use it but really didn't know where to start. I found that most of the iron textu...
