its really a pain to read books/journal(which are smaller in openmw) in windowed mode so ive been playing in a lower res fullscreen for a while...

tis not just the range of the light mentioned here https://bugs.openmw.org/issues/1813 but also the seizure inducing frequency that's bad <g>

launcher prompts you when it cant find the directory, make sure morrowind.esm is selected in the data files tab


you can also manually change this line in program folder openmw.cfg
data="?mw?Data Files"

I had the same error on windows then i got around it by changing the firstrun=false to true in local launcher.cfg and letting the gui import morrowind's settings (which at first i didnt for some reason even though the prompt says you need those).
