Re: Drag & Drop

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been working on a project for school. graffy, thank you for the breaking it down how to do it, but it's not why I'm confused. I am new to the project, so I don't understand the workflow that is being created in OpenCS. Zini's explanation is giving me a good idea....

Re: Drag & Drop

Try to help me understand the workflow, from the user's point-of-view, when using OpenCS. I understand that this feature will allow rows, these have MIME types, to be dragged around, but where will they be dropped? Wouldn't all the different tables be different MIME types which should be prohibited?

Re: Application - Marc Bouvier

OK, that's fine. I was afraid you meant days. lol Do you have a better description? The link on the bug tracker only leads to the Board Index on the forum.

Re: Application - Marc Bouvier

Sure, but I have no idea what the description means. I never used the official Contruction Set, so I have nothing to base it on.

How urgent is it? I work full-time and take classes, so my time is limited. I don't want to commit to something that I will not be able to meet.

Re: Application - Marc Bouvier

I made the pull request.

I think

Code: Select all

show();
raise();
activateWindow();
is the correct way for QWidget's.

Re: Application - Marc Bouvier

It's a little more than calling mStartup.show() because mStartup is hidden, but that is beside the point just a couple. I was afraid you were asking for the make mStartup active/current/working window (I have no idea what to call it lol). In other words, the window that doesn't have the dimmed title...

Re: Application - Marc Bouvier

I have a working branch for Feature #881. I am using QLocalServer and QLocalSocket. DBus is too heavy to use to just add this feature. It will require another library and cross-platform code would be combersome. QSharedMemory was not a good idea, because there was no way for the existing application...

Re: Application - Marc Bouvier

I am not a Windows user either. I only asked because cross-platform is a goal of this project. If DBus will be used later for content debugging, then it will be the best option. What are the development plans for content debugging?

Re: Application - Marc Bouvier

Boost.Process is an add-on. I think you are right Zini, QtSingleApplication uses a client-server relationship meaning that there wasn't an easy/clean way to do it. If Qt can do it, then it's going to be in QtCore. Has anyone used DBus on Windows? I only see that there is a port made and it's still i...
