Re: Lysol's normal mapped texture packs

Seams are ruining the feeling, though. It's strange what Bethesda did, for there were already games which didn't have them, like Enclave . This is more a Bethesda problem than anything. They've always been notorious for this. I suppose it's an easy problem when making a game with tons of assets. Ev...

Re: The new release process

In any case most linux repositories will update to a new version as soon as the release is tagged, they are not interested in release announcements or video's, and incidentally neither am I. Perhaps not. But there are many users that are. A proper release generates buzz in the community and attenti...

Re: Lysol's normal mapped texture packs

Wow

These are looking great and the terrain just looks terrible next to these. Nice work, you just keep outdoing yourself. If they keep looking like this your stuff is going to end up being mandatory for playing Morrowind modded. :D

Re: Vivec retexture to show off/test shaders

Since it hasn't been said yet, I'll say it, WOW

It looks great! I mean not only does it look polished, but if you take the time to compare it to your earlier work you've come a long long way. I'm really impressed man. Nice stuff.

Re: Roadmap is confusing/misleading to non-developers

I'm not quite sure how one could go about addressing this, perhaps listing openmw [next release] and openmw-future issues in the tracker for openmw-1.0 by default? I think there may be a misunderstanding here, unless I'm wrong. Openmw-future are post 1.0 release ideas and projects. None of these th...

Re: List of bugs/missing features

I believe the idea of a front page completion tracker has come up several times before (I lurk this project regularly ;) ) and it usually came to the conclusion that at the end of the day a progress tracker is pointless because the "completion percentage" is always in fluctuation. There's ...

OpenMW featured on Niche Gamer

There was an article covering the project on Niche Gamer this morning.

Didn't see anything about it here so I thought I'd let you guys know. Its mostly about the multiplayer function being worked on, but hey, more coverage is always good.

Re: omwlauncher bugs

My thoughts on this as a typical Elder Scrolls player. Most people who put some time into a TES game and looking to try OpenMW are at least somewhat familiar with the data files system. I find the single list system to be a lot more comfortable and simpler. That said I do like the concise list displ...
