Re: Microsoft Buys Github for $7.5 Billion
Are you going to take a break from coding for a while until we migrate to non-github-ness? No thanks, I'll rather take a break until Microsoft is dead. The only reason I kept working on OpenMW was because I wanted it to be hallmark of engineering, of collaboration between OSS projects and of free s...

Re: Microsoft Buys Github for $7.5 Billion
self-host, where we will have fewer developers that will hinder the growth of the project. I'm curious. Why do you think a self hosted instance will result in fewer contributions? You can sign in to different gitlab instances using the same account (OAuth), so there's no hurdle of creating accounts...

Re: Microsoft Buys Github for $7.5 Billion
If we ever decide to move to gitlab, the idea would be to use the official servers and not host ourself, right? I imagine gitlab's servers are going to be stressed a lot in the near future, so we'd need to self host for best results. I've heard that with docker, gitlab instances are not that hard t...

Re: Microsoft Buys Github for $7.5 Billion
I've had a lot of headaches and problems with github before this, and I always thought it strange for us as an open-source rewrite project to be using a closed source platform for development. This awful acquisition is the last straw for me and I'll be deleting my github account very soon. So on thi...

Re: Alpha channel with osgt objects
No, that's looking at the wrong thing. Let me reiterate. OpenMW most certainly loads the osgt file correctly because it's not even OpenMW loading it but OSG does. The osg file is missing the alpha blending flag, which needs to be present. OpenMW won't make a guess that you intend to use alpha blendi...

Re: Alpha channel with osgt objects
There's either a setting you need to toggle on in Blender or a missing feature in the blender-osg exporter. The osg format supports this for sure.
Setting the entire world to use alpha blending does of course break things.

Planned Absence
So I'm getting the impression that the constant influx of PRs (which is great) combined with my obsessive careful checking of these results in me not getting anything else done OpenMW-wise. Therefore I'm starting an experiment to abstain from checking github for a while and see what I can get done t...

Re: Cannot Create file when file already exists
If I had to guess, the fact that your My Games is part of OneDrive is probably causing an issue with boost::filesystem. Try moving your My Games back to its normal place. Of course, it would be great for a developer on windows who has access to this kind of setup to get to the bottom of the issue so...

Re: Letters are all blank, and no sound will play at all
This should probably be moved to the android port thread because the port is not part of the main openmw repo and the author of the port will more likely read your message if you post in that thread. To me it sounds like you forget to copy the data folders for Fonts, Music and possibly others. Can y...
