Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
It's my friend's copy. So I wouldn't know. But, I installed it from the disk images. It went through the normal setup.exe sorta installation on wine, so that must be just as fresh as the hard copies.

Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
No, I mean the ogre error message: Error in framelistener: OGRE EXCEPTION(6:FileNotFoundException): Cannot locate resource meshes\a\a_netch_f_cuirass.nif in resource group General or any other group. in ResourceGroupManager::openResource at /home/kfg/ogre/ogre-1.8.1/OgreMain/src/OgreResourceGroupMan...

Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
Oh-kay, right you are. The ~/.config/openmw/openmw.cfg is healthily populated and looks good. But when I run the importer, I still get that error message. Just to be clear, I didn't mean that the game won't run. It works (I think). I was just irked a bit by that error message if the game seemed to b...

Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
Bringing this back from the dead again: I took a look at my openmw.cfg file after getting the game running (it was a problem with my data files, my friend gave me a bad copy), and it looks the same. If that's the case, the ini import failed still. Using the importer will tell me the ini file doesn't...

Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
What's it supposed to look like? And what would I do to get it right? Is that caused by a problem with my data files?

Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
It is in your interest to upgrade all your boost to at least 1.48. I did try to install chrono1.48, but it broke dependencies for libogre and other libboost packages that are not associated with the openmw install. I can't finish the install like that I think. May I ask which revision of Ubuntu you...

Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
Whatever stock is in the us. I haven't changed any language or keyboard settings. Okay, I tried to compile it from source, but there's a missing libboost-chrono-dev package in my repos. There is a libboost-chrono1.48-dev, but it breaks all the dependencies of the other libboost packages (the source ...

Re: Having trouble running in Ubuntu
Assuming that's the case, how do I find what's wrong, and can I fix it?
