Re: What to expect in the future

The website does not use bootstrap, feel free to take a look at the page source :D My bad, I did look at the source and I thought I recognised the (many, many) classes. :) As for your comment about "who is the total overhaul for" -- I do explain that this is based on my own personal load order. I a...

Re: What to expect in the future

I have so many mixed feelings about this website. On the one hand I love its minimalist, no nonsense look... but then it goes and uses Bootstrap. Killing a mosquito with a nuke there. Aside from that, I for one would never recommend the "recommended list" mentioned above - which is also available on...

Re: OpenMW 0.45.0

No, that has the phrasing in common, but not much more. The most difficult stuff that is nonetheless not blocking other tasks is usually left until the end. Those tasks, as well as polishing and handling those obscure, tough or just straight up aggravating issues make that last bit of work incredibl...

This is normal at the end of a roadmap before a significant milestone. In my few years as an application developer I have learned that 10% of the work is done in 80% of the time, as it were.

Re: TES3 Edit (Tool)

Considering that the original engines are very related to one another and OpenMW is a different engine that happens to read the same content files, "zEdit for Morrowind" may well have dick all to do with OpenMW. When it comes to tools, I'd rather the OpenMW team does not try to incorporate other too...

Yeah but you see, there are so many cool names in fiction, you should totally choose one of those. Only then can your work be taken seriously.

Coming up: a patch from fresh github user Secret McQueen, followed by some interesting comments by Skulduggery Pleasant and Lord Vile.

Re: OpenMW Modding Website

Fantastic, I started on a website like this last year, but it never really came to anything. Really happy someone had the same idea and actually had the wherewithal to finish it. This should be a great boon for the whole community, especially the "Patches" section.

Re: Help us plan OpenMW's future

Go for it. If you want to be creative, but you can't write, paint or play any instruments, programming is a great way to still create something beautiful. Start out with something dirt easy like Python. Write small scripts that automate tasks on your PC. Dip your toes into some web development. Writ...
