Re: Help us plan OpenMW's future

Go for it. If you want to be creative, but you can't write, paint or play any instruments, programming is a great way to still create something beautiful. Start out with something dirt easy like Python. Write small scripts that automate tasks on your PC. Dip your toes into some web development. Writ...

Re: OpenMW port to ps4

Don't worry, everyone here is nice to each other. ;)

Aside from the technical issues, OP might want to be careful about elevating this to more than a home project; Bethesda started poking around here when the project got the beginnings of an Android port so who knows what a PS4 version would do.

Re: The Future of OpenMW Scripting

It's the end of the school year, so right now I am busy with getting my propedeutics, so I wasn't counting on picking up anything like this anytime soon anyway. Bringing the old Morrowind work to this new potential just sounds interesting to me, even if it's just busywork like bug fixing. I looked a...

Re: The Future of OpenMW Scripting

So I guess that would mean that the translator will run once and create an output file? Because if that is the case, I might well find it fun helping out debugging these newform scripts. OpenMW was one of the reasons I went to school to be a professional software developer, but by the time I was don...

Re: The Future of OpenMW Scripting

Well, I am not happy with this turn of events. I elaborated extensively why I think it is a bad idea. But trying to force my own opinion though is unlikely to result in anything good in this situation, so newscript and most likely Lua it is. Still, don't give up now, though. You're in a position wh...

Well, it looks like everyone has agreed on Lua.
That almost sounds dejected.

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

Pretty lame to keep reusing the same idea, though. All those Dragon Breaks really need some lampshade hanging in the next game.
