Re: Worst Race in morrowind?

I'm surprised that imperial has so many votes honestly. +10 to long blade and +5 to light armor is fine, and having a 25~50 point charm power is really good for players that aren't breaking the game. Altmer is """good""" because of their massive magicka bonus, but you can just go breton and use enc...

Glad that this is working - but I wanted to say that that is a heck of a blood spray. What did you hit him with? :o

Re: Post 1.0 Plans

pretty sure that other than peoples personal favorite flavors of language (which is very subjective), the ONLY reason we wanted something other than oldscript+ would be for this: ...Lua is the way to go because MWSE is now using Lua"[/i] So... [shrug] I thought the consensus was Lua or oldscript+ ST

Re: Getting the Actor that the Player Hits

I have a solution using the vanilla CS: http://en.uesp.net/morrow/editor/mw_csc ... #onpchitme

This may help. However, I have not tried to use the new CS yet.

Re: Almalexia's Cast for Beasts (OpenMW Exclusive)

that is awesome. More work with (admittedly difficult to use NIF) animations the better.

(Now if I could only get someone to do the beast unarmed (clawing motion) for skeleton animations instead of a skeleton trying to punch when unarmed....)

Re: Post 1.0 Plans

For the most part Zini - you understood me For your campfire example one could imagine a new type of tool (flint & steel?) that the player can equip (take into his hand) and then perform an "attack" on the camp fire. Or he could drag the item from his inventory on the campfire and light it that way....

Re: Post 1.0 Plans

I checked the "post 1.0 design document" and I wanted to ask for details/clarify a couple of points. Specifically I am asking about these two scripts GetPcTarget: Returns the reference of the instance the player is currently looking at (crosshair); can be a null reference and GetTargetRef: Returns t...

Re: Survey: What genres of total conversions do you think would work well on OpenMW besides fantasy?

In its current form, I don’t think it is really suited for settings where firearms are primarily used. Fallout 3 added a number of features to the Oblivion engine that improved gun combat. Things like weapon clips, reloading, rapid fire, and of course VATS. I think OpenMW would need to add stuff li...

Re: Artist wants to help the project.

Another thing that a "traditional" artist can do is make concept art. What I mean by that is like with a commercial game you can see bonus features/unlockable content the sketches and drawings that the production team uses to create game content from. The example suite is 3d content creation which w...

Watched the videos, and that is awesome. This definitely is a useful feature which will help with creation.

Keep up the good work
