Re: Lua scripting in OpenMW
Here's a quote from NullCascade on updating MWSE to sol3: Nothing terribly important TBH. But sol2 isn't getting updates anymore, all dev will go for sol3. So we should update at some point, but it's not critical. (taken from the MMC discord). Also he's posted this link: https://thephd.github.io/so...

Re: OpenMW History and Timeline
Nicolay didn't have anything directly to do with that. I bought the domain and maintained it for a few years while in college. This was necessary after some discussion on the Google Groups/email discussions, as neither GG nor the Beth forums were suitable for us. When I vanished Lukasz took up the ...

Re: OpenMW History and Timeline
Nicolay was also in charge of the old website, openmw.com and forum , and with his sudden departure we had to move to our current domain, around August 2011, that Lukasz so graciously hosted and administered. The archives of the old forum were also copied and available here . Nicolay didn't have an...

Re: Issue with forum session timeout force logout
I had this issue too for a while since the semi-recent maintenance. But I haven't had it since clearing out the cookies for the site. Give that a try.

Re: Recent Negativity Regarding OpenMW
Maybe now that MWSE has a LUA interface itself, it may end up deprecating those ugly setreference / getreference functions, so that's probably something of a bullet dodged, not that i was ever asking for that. If their engine hacking gets more effective they may end up getting rid of the (horrible)...

Re: Recent Negativity Regarding OpenMW
A big part of the reason why MWSE 2.0 had a from-scratch Lua interface was that MWSE had a bunch of stuff that was added because it seemed like a good idea at the time, but actually wasn't the best solution for whatever problem it was supposed to solve. This isn't true. Where are you getting your i...

Which took inspiration from the PR made by akortunov here: https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/pull/1615 in February but labeled for post-1.0 inclusion. But it looks like it might get relabeled pre-1.0 and be MWSE compatible. ;) This has been a mod that Greatness7 has wanted to make for years. It is n...

I've never asked for backup. Go get some rest man, you're being an ass, and that's not usually the case. Don't let people like Psi and I get to you.davidcernat wrote: ↑06 Oct 2018, 05:21Cammera, did Null ask for some backup again? I'm sure you have better things to do.

Re: The new MWSE-Lua interface
Also, you were kind of into Lua's sandboxing capabilities. Again, I don't mind sandboxing lua by default. Just let modders turn it off in the ini, don't try to treat users like children or handcuff modders. For context, that conversation was back when Zini was super hard against anything other than...
