Re: OpenMW 0.48.0

Don't use that, as it'll download symbol files you don't need, and also doesn't include some other fixes we've put on the 0.48 branch. https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/jobs/3041630790/artifacts/file/OpenMW_MSVC2019_64_RelWithDebInfo_openmw-48.zip is a better link Thank you so much! Re: OpenMW 0.48.0

What version of Windows are you using (if it's 10, the version number, e.g. 1904 would help, too)? There's slightly different handling of certain things between different versions because of a change they made, so it would help to know if both routes are broken or just the one we know is broken. Wi...

Re: OpenMW 0.48.0

Can you upload the launcher log? The MyGUI log is something from the engine. Sorry, wasn't able to find 0.48 Launcher log in My Games\OpenMW folder either. https://ibb.co/5vYZpRv - this is how My Games\OpenMW folder looks like after Launcher is opened, settings adjusted and closed, the Launcher fai...

Re: OpenMW 0.48.0

On Windows it seems that Launcher fails to create "settings.cfg" in My Games\OpenMW folder, as such no launcher setting are preserved. All other files and folders seem to be there, only "settings.cfg" is missing - even when Launcher is run as administrator. MyGUI.log 23:31:17 | P...

Re: Diagnosing Morrowind light pop-in

I'm just tested on latest nightly on Linux. The light pop in still there for years now. Thank you for the confirmation! Also I've been just explained that by this day 8-light limit issue is indeed still here, but being worked on which is just a matter of time. https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/mer...

Re: Diagnosing Morrowind light pop-in

This thread is specifically about light attenuation My apologies for bumping, just thought it would be better to use the existing "light problem" topic, than to create a new one. ... The one in your videos is due to the 8-light limit... https://youtu.be/YKhfdOxkafo?t=237 - 0.42 OpenMW rel...

Re: Diagnosing Morrowind light pop-in

I am on OpenMW 0.47, vanilla game, no mods - am I getting it right that: - light pop-in issue still exists and is yet to be solved? - current light pop-in issue does not depend on number of sources of light? - current light pop-in issue is not the one fixed in 0.42 release, which had a note that &qu...

Re: some textures aren't rendered correctly

So, we can't name a group of people working on the same goal a "team"?) If you are not a direct contributor, why so sure about the type of bump map? :) I would prefer one of the coders to confirm, if they happen to check this page in a bit of time. p.s. I've been following this project sin...

Speaking of the bump maps, can please any team member confirm which type of them OpenMW OSG engine uses, as seen on this image, four types from left to right.
