Re: OpenNuka

Let me add something to the discussion - not every contribution has to be coding related - it could be finding defects, finding how something works in game, finding other devs, encouraging/motivating people, creating/maintaining a list of tasks, etc, etc. An easy way to start might even be to port m...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated. However I would feel better if you donated to a charity of your choice instead - maybe one that supports mental health issues if I may suggest? The wait for a sale is more to with the thrill of getting a bargain than anything else. Fortunately my days as a poo...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

The best way would be to cherry-pick some of the commits for review/merge, since many of the changes (especially earlier ones) were already reviewed and not accepted for one reason or another. It's probably best viewed as working examples (or libraries) rather than a pull-request.

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

Pushed TES4 ESM reader code. Also pushed the bridging code to partially integrate into OpenMW/OpenCS. By partial I mean that the records are thrown away after reading, rather than saving them into data structures for further use. That part of the code needs some more thinking before making them publ...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

As promised in another forum discussion I've pushed TES4 BSA changes to github (cc9cii branch). I'll also try to push the TES4/TES5 ESM reader code.

Re: OpenNuka

BSA is no problem, but I don't have Fallout4 so BA2 will have to wait. Hopefully there will be a sale on when the new Fallout game is released. NIF support is mostly there, at least parsing them. Underlying engine support for various animation/texture/etc tricks are what is taking time. Scripting ha...

Re: OpenNuka

I want to see what needs to be done and who would be interested in helping me assemble a team for a fork of OpenMW. I'm not a coder by any means, but I'm willing to learn code to work on this project. I want to start a project for running the fallout games on this fork. Any code developed from our ...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

> Any chance that could make it into the master code? Given that I've got less and less time to contribute, I'm really keen to release what I have done so far. The trouble is that there are some code that are so horrible to be released and unfortunately without those parts the code won't compile (wh...

Re: Hey let's switch away from bullet to anything else

My 2c: First of all I've not looked too much into other physics engines so I have a limited perspective on this topic. In terms of Oblivion and Skyrim (and Fallout), the NIF files contain a lot more physics info compared to Morrowind. From what I can tell, Bullet isn't too different from Havok and m...

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

That blue thing is just a marker for the spawn point (going through the door is really a teleport to an internal cell). Current code does not filter out editor markers. Also most of the textures do not work properly at this point.
