Re: openmw is good

Correct, with 0.47 about to drop then tes3mp can rebase on top of that which would be fine as it would benefit for openmw's distant objects/lands and lighting fixes. That being said, tes3mp will eventually merge into openmw anyway. What do you think is going to happen after that?

Re: openmw is good

Depends on what you mean by fracturing, tes3mp matured on its own merits and there wasn't any rift between tes3mp which is a long living branch that closely tracked openmw. The idea being that in long-term it would get merged into openmw. So I don't see any 'healing' needing here. The fracture seems...

Re: openmw is good

Well not being able to use LUA mods is quite a sacrifice ATM. Yeah... you see tes3mp had Lua for awhile, even before mwse-lua existed. So technically, OpenMW (even if a fork with intention of being merged) had Lua already. I think perhaps you need to clarify mwse-Lua instead. Fun fact, Lua not LUA....

Re: On Lua Scripting Limitations

I don't understand why this is that hard? Any file available in OpenMW's VFS is readable. So that's a none-issue. The writing part is something we have to provide some special hand-holding for. Having free-rain to write to a filesystem, and then something as mundane has filling up your filesystem be...

Re: BSA tool in rust

So yeah, our bsatool now has the ability create an empty BSA archive and now add files to it. I would like to be able to add a list of files or give it a directory, that can be a follow up Issue/MR, this this is a great step forward.

I also created a new Issue that tracks ba2 support.

Re: BSA tool in rust

Just a heads up, it seems that the rust version of our bsa tool also gained the ability to create BSA files too:

Re: Roman Output Game Idea

Everything I would want to do would be with FOSS tools, including using our OpenMW-CS.

I was also thinking of reaching out to Xanten and the Siegfried museum if they would help fund the project.
