Re: OpenGEX as .Nif alternative for OpenMW

No go, the PR was closed because guys from Sketchfab said it wasn't finished. Pity.

Re: Builds on GitLab - old Debian version

Right, I think I fixed it.

https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/jobs/145145600

just merge or rebase from master.

Re: Builds on GitLab - old Debian version

Yeah, I've been following it for awhile (and fixing). It's libbullet that always seems to give up the ghost. If we could find a version earlier than libbullet-dev_2.87+dfsg-3_amd64.deb online somewhere, then we could use that. https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=sourcenames&keywords=bullet ^...

Re: OpenGEX as .Nif alternative for OpenMW

Collada is already there, glTF coming soon.

Caveat Emptor: animation support isn't yet possible because there has be a translation layer from these two formats into our (OpenMW) animation system. When this will happen is an exercise to anyone wanting to take up the challenge.

Re: OpenGEX as .Nif alternative for OpenMW

Sweet... I'll have a look :)

So they made a pull request against their own repo? OK...

I went ahead and made a PR against OSG.

https://github.com/openscenegraph/OpenS ... h/pull/686

Hopefully it will actually make it into OSG. :)

Re: Addin database

I think that this out of scope of OpenMW and more a general Bethesda modding issue. If someone would make something we could call against (via API) or as a library/plugin...

Don't forget that python is still on the table for openmw-cs. :)

Re: OpenMW Mod Manager

I put a lot time into porting NifScope to Linux, give it a try. :)

The beta versions should work out of the box.

Re: Addin database

You may address me as psi29a, mindwerks is just my website/business. ;) Now I have a better understanding of the issue and sounds like an interesting idea. Would it be interesting to have something like this running as a online service with an pollable API? Front-end using Twisted (async python) whi...

Re: Resolution Quality

That is how nvidia handles things on windows and linux, the binary blob keeps the native resolution and then up/down-scales as needed. xrandr complains about this and wine even says to avoid nvidia blobs and use anything else. AMD/Intel and all FOSS drivers do it differently.... I've no idea who is ...
