Re: OpenMW 0.43.0

Just wanted to stop by and say congrats on the last release guys. I tested it out for a few minutes and was really happy to see how it was running! Keep it up :)

Re: OpenMW Outreach

Does anyone want to take ownership of the steam group? http://steamcommunity.com/groups/openmw Unfortunately, it seems I completely stopped contributing to this project after I graduated from school ... Just reply to this thread or PM me if there are any takers. EDIT : You know what, I'll take anot...

Re: Podcasting Ability/Status

well ... https://youtu.be/Xsrlz3E2xmQ That was more painful to make than I would like. Tool stack was Bandicam, Ardour (slightly crashy), Shotcut (slightly finicky, moderately crashy), and Audacity (for audio ducking). Again, on Windows. Ideally, I'd like to take Audacity out of the equation and fig...

Re: Podcasting Ability/Status

Why no just use Ubuntu... Because I don't wanna. Hey, why not update the OpenMW faq video? Because I'm inactive, remember? ;) I don't want to talk about (read: plan) producing any videos for the project until I don't have any roadblocks and I've actually sat down and made a narrated test vi...

Re: [WIP] The Forgotten Release Commentaries

Atahualpa,

I watched the video. Very nice, I liked it!

I definitely support the idea of separate videos for the engine and editor.

Re: Podcasting Ability/Status

For what it's worth, I can record my voice in reasonable quality now. I ended up using ardour for this on Windows actually... After I got out of school, I basically stopped using linux. I was never a pro, but trying to go back after so much time away made me feel like a dunce. Especially since I'm a...

Re: Beta, revisited

I would suggest instead to hype up the 1.0 RC, when things get to that point. Maybe plan on having a longer than normal RC phase for the 1.0 release. The increased interest would perhaps lead to more testing and perhaps give the news sites you speak of time to write things about us and the upcoming ...

Re: Podcasting Ability/Status

It takes me forever to write a script because it takes me forever to write anything in general. I can deal with the changelogs. In the past, whenever any particular item wasn't clear to me, I just asked about it and that worked fine. raevol, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but the point of this thread...

Re: Podcasting Ability/Status

Upcoming OpenShot 2.0 looks interesting. Seems like the beta will be public soon, I might try that when it's available. raevol, I'll always need help with the scripts. Once the script is there, recording the narration is the easiest and quickest part of the whole process. It's the game/editor footag...

Re: Podcasting Ability/Status

It's not really about the money. I could afford the adobe suite, although it would be more expensive than it used to be when I had a student discount. I don't want it anymore. For what I do, I should be able to use open source tools. I just need to set them up and learn them. That takes time and a s...
